Search myself online

I have used both a phone and people search services. Both investigations were performed online. The phone reverse lookup inquiry was for two purposes. I wanted to search myself online and look up my own phone information, and to find the phone number of a business.
I looked up my seven digits to see what information was listed under my name, to verify that it was correct and to make sure that private information was not listed. The outcome of that search was that I found my information, verified that what was listed was correct, but had to send an email to the company asking that some information be removed. I looked up the business phone number for background information on an upcoming event I was helping to plan at my church. The outcome was that I found what I needed & was very satisfied with how quick and accurate it was. I used the people search service to try to look up contact information on an old friend from college.
The outcome of that search was that I received information on my friend that was from four years previous. If I wanted updated information, I would have had to pay their search service monthly fee. I was not willing or able to pay the fee so my friend is still out there somewhere.
