Reverse Lookup for business purposes
I used to work for a contact center that dealt with shipping items to various customers. Customers each had accounts with us with contact phone numbers and so forth, which we would use to call them in order to discuss a shipment should it be delayed or out of stock (or similar). As it was up to the customer to update their details, oftentimes they wouldn’t let us know whenever they moved addresses, so the numbers in our system often turned out to be incorrect.
As a result, I would need to access a phone/people search service, input their name or other details I had available, and try to find the most up to date contact details for the customer as possible. Thanks to many of the services updating their information in recent years to not only include home and fax numbers, but cellphone and even work numbers, more often than not I would be able to contact the customer in no fewer than three attempts. On the off chance that I could not find an updated number however, it was usually easy enough to just email through to the customer and they would respond to us on the issue within a few days.
