I keep receiving phone calls from telemarketers. I wish to end those calls by contacting said people directly, and requesting that I be removed from any call lists.

You should register your number with the federal "Do not Call" registry. This will put your line on a list where telemarketers are prohibited from contacting you via telephone . It only takes a minute to register, but you need to call from the number you want to stop from getting solicited. You can also do this from a cell or mobile too.

You can also sign up online via this website www.donotcall.gov Once you register you have to give it 31 days to ensure all of the offending companies have received the updated information. If you are still getting these types of calls after the 31 days have passed them you can file a complaint at the same site listed above. This information should help solve your problem.
