Owner of a Cell Phone Number

I have taken steps to figure out the owner of a cell phone number. A certain mobile telephone kept calling me multiple times every day. They never left a message, so I never could figure out who it was. They always called while I was at work, so I was never able to answer the phone either. Finally, I Googled the number.

It turns out that it was a cellular device. Many people were getting calls from this number. The people who called were pretending to be looking into the person's student loan debt, but it was a scam. They were just trying to find out information from the people who they were calling, and use that information to their advantage in a way that was not beneficial to the people they called. I'm very glad I was able to Google and find the owner of a cell phone number like this this out. I was able to block the number, and didn't fall for the scam like some of the people who were reporting this issue online.

I wasn’t completely satisfied though. I don’t know why people knew it was a scam, but the people were still able to keep calling. It seems like they would have been stopped after several people reported being scammed. However, I was satisfied with my personal outcome since they weren’t able to call me any longer. However, as far as I know, they are most likely still calling other people and doing the same thing unless someone has finally prevented it. I don’t regret finding out the owner of a cell phone number like this.

No matter who was calling, I would have wanted to know. You can’t do anything about a problem if you don’t have information about it. I know a lot of people who have taken similar steps and ended up blocking a number. None of them regret doing so.
