How To Block Your Number
How to block your number when using a telephone or a cell phone making a call? That is a question that almost all of us have asked at some point in time. No matter what your reasons are you can call block your own number when making outgoing calls. So what do you have to do? There is a simple code that you input before you dial the area code and the seven digits that follow. These instructions are for a per call basis only. The code is star 67 or *67. So your display screen on your particular calling device would show the numbers in order starting with *67 1 (212) 555-5555. This is just an example and you would substitute the area code and seven digits with the correct number for the person or business you are trying to reach. If you are in the UK then you would dial 141 before the telephone or mobile number. It would be similar to this: 141 +44 (0) 20 7777 7777. This too is just a random tn used to show the sequential order the code needs to follow. Does this work all of the time? Almost, 100% of the time. There are a few instances where you will not be able to "secretly" dial someone's number. One thing that may stop you would be dialing a toll free number (800) number. Even when you dial *67 the owner of that toll free number will see the ten digits you dialed from and the time. This is a part of toll free billing, and call details that usually cannot be bypassed. If you know how to block your number, and have done so in the past, you also know that some phone lines have a block on all callers that do not show or reveal their telephone numbers. This can be done with anonymous call rejection and call intercept. So there you have it.
