Find a Relative.

Once i had to locate a very important cell phone number. I needed to reach my aunt, because of the death of my father, and I could not remember her work phone number. Yes, it might sound strange, but the state of my mental capabilities at that moment, it was even hard for me to remember my name.

But in any case, it was a very sad occasion and it was my responsibility to inform family members. Since she and my dad were not only siblings, but they were very close, she was the first one that I needed to reach almost immediately. After reaching out to my own personal siblings to find a relative and no one remembering her phone number, there was just one other option. Yes, that option was to contact my father's former cell phone company.

I was connected to a lovely representative named Sheila. I have to say that she was an incredible angel. After explaining to her about his death and there were numbers listed from an Augusta, Ga area (my dad’s hometown) and I asked for those numbers, because I knew that one of them belonged to her. The customer service representative was so empathetic, helpful, and offered to turn off his phone right away and prorated his next bill. She was very eager to assist me in any way possible. She gave me just what I needed and I was very pleased.

I do know that there are some telephone and wireless companies who will not offer any personal information at all due to privacy policies. She followed all procedures by reaching out to her supervisor and she was empowered to make the right decisions in our time of grief. I was very satisfied with how she helped me find a relative and I was able to retrieve the number.
