According to Wikipedia, it was her ex boyfriend that leaked the bare bottom flicks of the singer. It was during a time when she was a contestant on a singing competition program. This was supposed to hurt her but it actually made her more famous and desired in the media. She has made a lot of money off of this act. This happened in 2004 according to their website. Since then she has made many albums. She put out 3 in America between 2005-2006. It seems she is very loved by Vietnamese Americans as well. I guess there is no such thing as "bad publicity."

It seems like there was some kind of sex scandal involving her. They also didn't like a tattoo she got on her belly. They are not as liberal with the showing of the body and freely expressing your sexuality like in America. At some point an event happened in Ho Chi Ming City, I think. It is alleged that one of her old boyfriend's spread or leaked some nude photos of her to the press and they appeared all over the internet. A lot of people are questioning these acts. Here in the United States some celebrities are behind their own "leaking of nude pictures and sex videos" in order to keep their name in the spotlight and thus extend or enhance their careers. But who knows what really happened in this case.
